Swim Across America

Manhasset High School Scholarships

Every year, the Ryan Kiess Memorial Scholarship is given out to a Manhasset high school senior. Ryan once tweeted, "Your boys you have grown up with and went to high school with will always be your friends for life."  This was absolutely true for Ryan and his friends from home.The Ryan Kiess Memorial Scholarship is given to an "includer" who is friendly, good spirited and overall a great person.

2023 - Liam Connor (Colgate University)

2024 - Jack Mulholland (Dartmouth College)

2025 -  Henry Leadbetter (University of South Carolina), James Leadbetter (University of South Carolina) and Ryan Lombard (Tulane University)

Colon Cancer Alliance

The Colon Cancer Alliance was a charity near and dear to Ryan after his uncle Ken passed away from colon cancer in 2016. Part of the fundraising at the Ryan Kiess Memorial Golf Outing is donated to the Colon Cancer Alliance.

Manhasset PAL

As a kid, most of Ryan's weekends were filled with Manhasset PAL practices and games. He played almost every sport growing up (Baseball, hockey, lacrosse, football, and soccer). The RKMF helps support the Manhasset PAL program.

Manhasset Booster Club

Manhasset High School sports shaped Ryan's adult life. In middle school, he played soccer, hockey and lacrosse. In high school, he played football, hockey and lacrosse. The RKMF benefits the Manhasset Booster Club.

University of Scranton

Ryan graduated from the University of Scranton with a BS in Accounting and a MS in Accountancy. He played on the Scranton men's lacrosse team for three years, where he met many of his best friends. His time at Scranton tremendously shaped him as a person. The RKMF gives back to the University & the lacrosse team.

Swim Across America (Team Hope)

Swim Across America, Team Hope, is an annual charity swim that fund cancer research and patient programs. Ryan swam with Team Hope for many years at North Hempstead Country Club. The Ryan Kiess Memorial Fund makes an annual donation to Team Hope in Ryan's memory.
